I suppose everyone has now heard that Matthew a.k.a. the world traveler who even landed in Amsterdam, and could say that he was in Holland, although he probably never left the airport, is now sitting on the balcony of a penthouse in a New Delhi apartment building, after the long journey to India. We are all glad that he got there safely, and hope that he has a good time. We were glad it was not your airplane in which the pilot DIED while enroute over the Atlantic! How was the flight from Amsterdam to India?

We say good bye and have a good trip to India - it sounds like such a long trip - Ottawa to Frankfurt, and then on to.....India. Have a safe trip, take time to recuperate, and save up lots of funny stories to tell us when you get home. 4 comments

Thanks to everyone who gave me the nice little bird paperweight, and for the Chapters Gift card. I will once again be scouring the Chapters website, looking for some good books. We had a such a nice time today with everybody, and really enjoy seeing Maddison and Emily. We hope that Roger had a good early birthday party from the family and bon voyage to India for the next few months. We are going to miss you. 2 comments

Another holiday is over.....we are home again....good flight.....no traffic jams in Montreal.....Grandma Hilda was in the wheelchair or on the electric cart in the airports.....weather in Holland was great....great family....great visits....but looking forward to seeing Emily and Maddison on Saturday. 1 comments

| Hello Everyone: So our days in Holland are dwindling down. We had a very busy, but very good day yesterday, starting with Dad's Cousin Johann, and we toured around to see some old homesteads, the graveyard where Hoftyzers are buried, and then went to a pancake house and ate. After that we went to see another cousin of Dad's, where he had stayed for almost 6 months in the early 70's,....

Yesterday we visited with one of Dad's cousins in the morning, then in the afternoon Henk & Ina and Dad & I drove through Germany (in a great Mercedes SUV) to my birthplace of Venlo on the border between Holland Germany. We found my house where I was born, and I knocked on the door, but it was not surprising to me

| Hello Everyone: We went to Delft this morning and had a tour of the oldest factory of the Delft Blauw pottery factory. It was very interesting. Then we travelled here - the scenery is so beautiful here and it is so green. I like this part of Holland so much better then the busy west side of the country.
